Vegan's across the UK are up for a treat, as Vegan Bailey's Almande is being sold in supermarkets for the first time ever in major UK supermarkets.
It was initially trialled in North America, although the original recipe included beeswax and so could not be marked as a vegan product.
After significant amendments were made to the recipe so that it could adhere officially to vegan standards, the beverage was subsequently made available in Whole Food stores in London last September.
Having made it's journey to major UK supermarkets, it is now nicely tucked onto shelves in both Asda and Waitrose, and can be bought online from Ocado. Baileys Almande contains a mix of sweet almond oil, cane sugar, almond essence, purified water and a small quantity of real vanilla.
Asda issued a statement declaring the new addition to their stock.
