Halfpenny Green Wine Estate will be hosting an annual Food & Wine Festival which is now in it's third year. It will be an excellent opportunity for meeting the people that are behind some of the greatest national and local brands that have been stocked in store and, most importantly, get involved in wine tasting!
Held on Saturday 26th May 2018, English Wine Week will be a celebration at Hanwell Wine Estate, with FREE entry for everyone! Everyone is welcome to try out their new self-guided vineyard tour, which includes vineyard points of interest surrounding the vineyard and/or visit 'Clarabel', the wine tasting trailer that provides free samples of Nottinghamshire wines.
Helenka Brown, the wine-tasting expert is going to be on hand to take questions on coffee, tea and delicious home-made cake. Tour, entry and wine-tasting are all free!
Departing from London Bridge, tours take you out into the beautiful countryside of Kent. The initial stop is the Chapel Down Winery for a tutored tasting tour of an award-winning wine selection. You can then head on out for a two course gastro-pub lunch, which is followed by an additional tutored tasting session at either The Hush Heath Winery of The Gusbourne Estate.
It will give you the perfect opportunity to observe two acclaimed English Vineyards and try out their varying styles, all whilst educating yourself on the industry of English wine.
