Commonwealth Games: Scotland's Scott storms to 100m freestyle gold

Both Scotland's Duncan Scott and England's Siobhan-Marie O'Connor have achieved gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre pool.

20-year-old Scott finished in a 48.02 seconds to push out SA's Chad le Clos (48.15) as a shock victory was claimed in the 100m freestyle.

Kyle Chalmers, Australia's Olympic champion, took bronze home in the 48.15.

22 year-old O'Connor won the 200m individual medley final with an impressive performance to keep hold of her title.

She won the race by a body length and ensured her victory with a time of two minutes 9.80 seconds.

While Sarah Darcel took the silver medal and Erika Seltenreich-Hodgson, her Canadian team-mate, bronze, O'Connor was the only swimmer to go under 2:10.

The Australian, Lakeisha Patterson took gold and England's Alice Tai performed a lifetime best to take home silver in the women's S9 100m freestyle in 1:03.07.
