September is the most hotly anticipated issue of the year for fashion magazines, so of course all eyes were on Vogue for yesterday's reveal. The prestigious cover showcased global goddess Rihanna, as the first black model to front the iconic issue.
And so, while history was made, another striking aspect to the overall look transported us right back to the 90's, where we thought pencil-line brows had been left for good. This has caused a bit of a stir among die-hard followers of the latest trends, who are now nervously hunting around for forgotten tweezers, lost during a long spell of the favoured fuller brow. But Ri Ri has spoken and so skinny eyebrows are back. Feeling plucky, fashionistas?
For the rest of the look, Rihanna has her lips lacquered in a black cherry gloss, with a full floral bouquet as a head piece and a netted pink scarf tied in a bow around her neck. It says end of summer, start of autumn; but with it being Rihanna it also screams sex appeal. Her orange gloved hands are touching her face, perfectly framing that pouty, seductive expression that has all of our hearts panging. As Edward Enninful states in his first letter as editor-in-chief; "Nobody does it quite like Rihanna." We concur.
