Head coach of England women, Phil Neville, named Anita Asante, Chelsea girl, in the initial squad for the SheBelieves Cup in the US in the coming month.
Defender in the Chelsea Team, Asante, who was called up in 2015, was one of seven players that had accused prior boss, Mark Sampson, of treating the poorly.
The SheBelieves Cup will begin against France on 1st March, and all three of the matches will be screened live by the BBC.
It is also planned for the Lionnesses to take on Germany on the
Skipper Steph Houghton is named in the squad despite having an injured foot.
England kick off the SheBelieves Cup against France on 4th March with all three matches live on the BBC.
It is also planned for the Lionesses to tackle Germany on 4th March, before they come head to head with the US a few days later on the 8th March.
According to BBC Sport, after selecting 32 year-old Asante, proud owner of 70 caps, who joined up with Chelsea after four years on the Swedish side, Neville said, "I hope this squad shows that the door is not closed to anyone [...] Those in form will always have a strong chance of being picked."
