Instant Family is an upcoming comedy film starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne, who play a couple that decide to go down the route of adoption. They end up falling for a teenage girl, Lizzy (Isabela Moner), who it transpires comes with two younger siblings. Overnight they become a family of five.
The film was written and directed by Sean Anders, who based the story on he and his wife's own experiences with adoption. Anders illustrates this inspiration by releasing a small behind-the-scenes feature of his home life, depicting his three adopted children.
This personal touch intensifies the how heartwarming the film is, offset beautifully with some real rib-tickling moments. Wahlberg and Bryne are no strangers to either comedy, or playing the role of parents; having starred in Daddy's Home and Bad Neighbours respectively. On screen together, within this new yet familiar capacity, they have created something uniquely special.
This film is charming, genuinely funny and delivers a touching message for all families. Set to be released in cinemas on November 16.
