Alcohol can potentially encourage your body to burn additional calories for as much as 90 minutes after you have a glass. Beer effects the body in a similar way.
3. Boost your body's defence's
Did you know that in one British study, people that consumed around a glass of wine a day reduced by around 11% their chances of becoming infected by Helicobacter pylori bacteria, a significant cause of stomach cancers, ulcers, gastritis, and stomach cancers. As little as half a glass might prospectively guard against food poisoning caused by germs such as salmonella, when individuals are exposed to foods that are contaminated, a Spanish study suggests.
