Occasionally burgers are the only thing that will bring satisfaction. And they've come a long way from a piece of grey, greasy meat shoved inside a tacky white bun. Burgers nowadays come in all shapes and sizes and can be customised to suit every taste and dietary requirement. Experimenting with various textures and colours makes for a photogenic feast, for the eyes and the appetite!
In celebration of it being National Burger Day, we decided to showcase some of the best examples of this culinary work of art.
The bacon/cheese one
The ultimate burger. Juicy bacon, melted cheese topped with caramelised onions; all contained within a crispy sesame seed bun.
The pulled pork one
Melt in the mouth pulled pork with sticky BBQ sauce and a generous topping of homemade slaw in a soft white roll.

Healthy sweet potato patty topped with hummus, fresh salad and guacamole in a toasted, seeded bun.
