It's been just over a year since the Harvey Weinstein case erupted onto our news channels and the lid was lifted on the culture of sexual abuse within Hollywood. Streams of names and allegations flooded our screens and newspapers, as more and more women felt emboldened to come forth to relay their own experiences.
A year on and women in America are just coming to terms with the fact that Bret Kavanaugh, a man accused of three separate accounts of sexual misconduct, has been sworn in as a Supreme Court justice, despite impassioned protesting against it.
It seems sadly ironic that Kavanaugh will sit alongside the women featured in this upcoming film; a woman who fought for the advancement of gender equality and women's rights. That woman is Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the second of only four women to have ever been sworn into the US Supreme Court.
British born actress, Felicity Jones, plays Ruth Bader Ginsberg and is adept at capturing her steely determination in the face of adversity. The film is to be released on the 4 January in the UK, or the 25 December for American audiences.
